2018 Mitsubishi Outlander SUV Review in Florida

Mitsubishi OutlanderOn a recent trip to Florida, I had the awesome opportunity to test drive a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4 SEL S-AWC 4-Door SUV. Let’s talk about how sharp this SUV looks! Motivated by a 166-HP 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine, I was very excited to see this waiting for me upon my arrival in Florida.

I anxiously jumped into this classy SUV, looked over the specs, and began to wonder…what does S-AWC actually mean? Let me save you a visit to Google, it’s Super All-Wheel Control, which is an advanced full-time four-wheel drive system developed by Mitsubishi Motors. Once I had figured that out along with Apple CarPlay (I admittedly geeked out over this), I took off while admiring the interior features including leather-wrapped steering wheel, shift knob, door armrest trim panels, as well as the tech and safety features.Mitsubishi Outlander

My travels began in this Mitsubishi Outlander which sports ample room for my family. By the way, my lease is expiring on my current vehicle this summer, so I was continuously taking mental notes of my driving experience. I’m big on riding a vehicle with good sightlines and limited blindspots and enjoyed this smooth ride. Some features I loved include the Blind Spot Warning with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist. Did the Outlander make it onto my list of possibilities for my next family vehicle? Read on to find out, but first, let me share with you my travel detour…

Visit FloridaShortly after arriving in Florida, I quickly began to feel seriously unwell. Now I’m a fan of pushing positive energy to overcome aches, pains, or minor illness, but it was immediately apparent that this wasn’t just a few sniffles. We’re talking body aches, sore throat, cough, runny nose, and complete weakness. Yes, we’re talking about the f-l-u.

The flu in Florida was not what I had planned, but I was able to take it easy and adjust my plans as needed. Many of us, on-the-go moms, are sometimes forced into slowing it down. This was definitely one of those times that I needed self-care and rest. The good news? While I was sidelined for most of my trip, I was lucky to still get out and about in the sleek Outlander and #DriveMitsubishi.

My favorite features:
– High-quality interior
– Good use of space
– Sporty design
– Drove quietly which was a noticeable difference from my current SUV
– My kids could be completely comfortable in the back with ample space
– Sharp exterior
– Smooth drive

This trip did not turn out as I had intended, but I’ve learned through lots of traveling that sometimes you just have to wing it. I’ve also learned to recognize the silver lining that we can miss if we’re not careful. On this trip, the silver lining was my experience driving the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander. And yes, it’s now on my short list of potentials for my next family vehicle.
