Okay, I’ll stop, but I could go on. As a registered nurse, I’ve specialized in reproductive medicine for over twelve years and talk about the good and bad of our monthly cycle on a daily basis with patients and clients. Patient education and empowerment go together, it’s what I do, so I’ll be bringing some of that knowledge over here to share with you on my blog series, Health Tips Unboxed.
While we can dig deep into menstrual cycle issues (irregular cycles, timing, symptoms, hormonal imbalances), I’m keeping it simple in this post by presenting a simple overview of a typical menstrual cycle. Truth be told, I know far more women that have irregular cycles than regular, so in a way, it seems more regular to have an irregular cycle than regular…you know what I mean. So here is a one-minute overview of the monthly events our female bodies go through. Collective sigh.
