The countdown is on! In 3 weeks, we will be heading to Orlando for the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration and that means I’ve kicked my preparations into overdrive. A key aspect of this conference (that I’m really looking forward to) is making connections and engaging with all the other attendees.
As with any event, networking is a huge part of it and a quality business card is essential. This gave me the perfect reason to re-brand my business cards and design something that really reflects who I am and conveys what I do. Very happily, I can check this off my list and I’m really pleased with how they came out. Here’s how I came up with the design.
1. Concept. I wanted an organic and clean look that went with Unboxed Mom. I chose a cardboard-colored paper. I also drafted an outline of an open box.
2. Branding. I wanted some color that would pop, but otherwise was going for a clean and simple look and feel.
3. Information. Keeping it basic, I’ve always stuck to name, email, phone, websites, key social media channels, and a tagline.
4. Photo. Raised in a corporate environment, I think it’s very important to maintain professionalism but also appeal on a broad scale. I think for the purposes of what I do, a photo is really helpful to link the name to the face.
5. Space. I didn’t want to make it too busy and know it is important to have enough room for recipients to be able to jot down any notes.
So, here you have it. What do you think?
