Disney character dining is one of our favorite experiences as a family at Walt Disney World Resort. We enjoy being able to sit down, relax, and take a rest from the parks to enjoy our food. It’s a win-win situation that we don’t have to wait in a line to meet and greet our favorite characters, too. This past trip, we had the wonderful opportunity to enjoy the character dining meal for dinner at the Garden Grove Cafe located at the Walt Disney World Swan Resort. How did it rank compared to our other character dining meals? Best character dining meal ever!
Disney Character Dining Means Good Times and Good Food
Surprisingly, food quickly became the focus as soon as we were escorted into the Garden Grove Cafe to our table. Greeted by our waiter, my family was so happy to see a variety of options including soup, salad, lemon chicken, mashed potatoes, and an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet including stuffed lobster, shrimp, and snow crab legs! We were delighted by these food choices – not to mention the delicious mini desserts.
Pluto and Goofy came around to our table multiple times and were very engaging with our kids. My recommendation would be to reserve an early time for dinner as we all agreed that Pluto and Goofy spent more time with us here than at any other character meal we’ve had. In addition to the fun time and high-quality choices, the wait staff was extremely responsive and accommodating when we made a special request for my daughter.
In comparison other character dining buffets we’ve experienced at Walt Disney World Resort, we’d rank the dinner at the Garden Grove Cafe as the best we’ve had. We always look forward to having a great time at Disney Parks and we will definitely be visiting the Garden Grove Cafe again. It was the perfect way to complete our Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
