5-month-old Allie

How lucky we are. Our Allie girl turned 5 months this week. The pediatrician says she should be sleeping through the night, but given what she has been through, it may take a little longer to get back on track. “Sleeping through the night” qualifies as 8-hours sleep straight. Allie has done it a few times, so I am hopeful it will become more consistent. (If her Mama could get 4-5 hours of straight sleep, I’d be functional).

She weighed less at her 5-month pediatrician’s appointment than hedid at her 4-month, but completely expected given the hospitalization. That is actually one of the reasons she had to be in the hospital, she could not feed and needed an IV because she had difficulty breathing while feeding. No worries though, she is still in 50% for weight, 30% for height, and 75% for head circumference.

We are proud of Allie, she is a smily girl most of the time, and her big brother helps make her smile all the time.

I am constantly reminded when I am at work how lucky we are to have healthy babies. Our little family is very grateful to
celebrate Christmas this weekend together and all be healthy. Santa Claus is coming to town!
