Jack made a goal at the beginning of the summer that he wanted to go on the “big swirly water slide” at our village pool. The lifeguard catches any kid who can’t swim – but I believe you do have to be a certain height or age. Today, he said that if I went on it, he would. 1st attempt – we made it up the stairs, to the slide, lifeguard was waiting at the bottom, but Jack sat down and then decided against it. No worries, I told him as we were going down the stairs it was okay, we could try another time. Nope, he stopped me and said we were going back up the stairs. 2nd attempt – we got up there, and a boy behind us who was about 8, told Jack not to worry, that if you sit up, it goes pretty slow. Jack sat down this time at the top of the slide, lifeguard gave the go-ahead, and off he went. Success! He was very excited and proud and decided to go on it 3 more times. Allie enjoyed watching, but was frustrated as she wanted in on the action. Way to go, Jack!
