Camp Visitation Day

Jack’s camp had a parent visitation day this past week. Very glad I got to go. It was great to see him and his pals in action.

They have pool time and it was reassuring to see how completely organized it is. They line up his group, count heads before/during/after, talk to them before playing, and are encouraging bubble blowing, splashing/kicking, and laying on their bellies. Jack was having fun playing with a pal, Ethan, and they were splashing with a camp counselor who was a real sport.

I love that camp is mostly shaded, and has a nice nature component that includes newly hatched ducks and chicks. They have year-round bunnies at the school and our little guy is a big animal lover.

We feel this is a great experience for Jack. His head counselor said they have his “big brother hat” ready and are excited to celebrate with him. We are too!
