Jack is off from school this week, but was sent home with a bunch of art projects. To kick off President’s Day weekend, he had made a George Washington hat, and “an Abraham Lincoln man #16″…
Our Allie girl turned 7 months old this week. She really cracks us up. She’ll flip herself right out of a bouncy seat if given the opportunity and loves sticking her foot in her mouth…literally. She is working on cutting her 4th bottom tooth in a row.
Lastly, we are packing and preparing for our much-needed vacation to Disney World!!! Along with our preparations, Jack has been able to earn himself some rewards in the form of “Disney Dollars” for doing specific chores or achieving certain goals he has worked hard at. We printed some “Disney Dollars” and he collects them and puts then in our Disney bank box he made. When we arrive at our hotel, we will convert the amount he has in his box into real Disney Dollars and will use that money to buy something he’d like. He was most proud of himself (and we are as well) that he has been working on writing his letters and was able to write some names. He made a birthday card for cousin Tommy and was SO proud he wrote his name on the card. Happy Birthday Cousin Tommy! 🙂
We will be reporting from Disney at some point along the way and hopefully will get lots of fun pictures. We just found out that because it is leap year, the Magic Kingdom will be open all night long next Wednesday night while we are there. Apparently it’s the first time ever they are doing this, and although we will be exhausted, I think we need to take advantage of this. I may have to drag Rob out in the middle of the night to ride Space Mountain. As you can imagine, I’m sure he will be thrilled. 😉 Since Grandma is coming along, hopefully we will be able to get out a little in evenings.
